New Season, New horse

2024 Show Season

Samuelle started training in January 2024 with her new horse Havoc (Malacrianza,) an off the track rescue whom didn't have much jumping show ground experience yet. They have been working intensively on creating new gears to his pervious "one speed mode" and on his control buttons for the jumper ring in addition to desensitizing his "spooking" ways and manners on the ground, which unintentionally can be dangerous. Our favorite "spook story" of the season so far  is at their very first show together, at WEC, when Havoc spooked at his own fart walking through the isles making him jump into the air and two feet out landing on Alan's foot! LOL! (Thankfully resulting in no more then a soar/bruised foot!)  We couldn't be happier with their growth in becoming a strong and competitive team!

Due to a tragic and unfortunate personal circumstance (us parents getting hit and thrown off the highway in Belgium, severely impairing Samuelle's grandmother,) that required several unforeseen returns back to Belgium: Meant less available time and funds spent on show grounds competing this season.

USHJA Zone 5 (including all riders in Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois & Indiana)

- 2nd in the 1.00/1.05M Junior Jumpers division - channel 1 🥈

- 2nd in the 1.00/1.05M Junior Jumpers division - channel 2 🥈

- 3rd in 1.10/1.15M Junior Jumpers division - channel 1 🥉

with only 8 competitions under her belt as opposed to 13 or 15 shows competed in by first and second place, which is a compelling part of the statistics for sure...

>> 2024 USHJA Las Vegas Nationals rated division:

- 1.00M OPEN (all ages) Jumpers National CHAMPIONS 🥇

- 3rd in 1.00M Junior Jumpers National Grand Prix 🥉

- 5th in 1.00M Junior Jumpers National division

had their very first show experience together at WEC, Ohio!

We almost had to cancel going the show having just survived a terrible car crash back in Belgium but we how can we preach "getting back on the horse" if we don't live by example...

GREAT learning experience!

A show just for the fun of it!

They made it to a 5’3” applejack jump (that’s my height!) 4’ deep spread (that’s four rows deep of me!) and ended up second 🥈 while Havoc lost a shoe there somewhere in the mix. #applejack #goodtimes
